Bananas Foster
EQUIPMENT NEEDED
Cast iron skillet or medium-sized pan
Spoon
INGREDIENTS
2 ripe bananas, sliced
2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp banana liqueur (optional)
1/4 cup dark rum
Vanilla ice cream
INSTRUCTIONS
In pan over a medium flame, melt butter, sugar and cinnamon.
Add bananas, cook 1–2 minutes.
Add liqueur, then carefully pour in rum.
Optional step, very carefully tilt pan slightly to ignite (flambé). Please be sure you have an open area clear of any flammable materials.
Serve over ice cream.
